Hotel Villa Flori - Como

Close to the center of town and directly overlooking splendid Lake Como, the Hotel ìs a tranquil interlude between the many activities and excursions the arca has to offer, its favourable location is also just a short drive from the Swiss border. The history of "Villa Flori" goes back to ages: in fact for over a century it was owned by several Lombard aristocrats. In 1860 it became famous because it was the wedding gift for the Marquis Raimondi's daughter, who married "THE HERO OF TWO WORLDS", General Giuseppe Garibaldi. In 1958 the Villa was transformed into a hotel by the present owners and rebuilt between 1989 and 1992. The careful restauration of Venetian-stucco decorations and wall frescos match wìth the new and more modern technical efliciency. At the Hotel "Villa Flori" one stili enjoys the Romantic 18th -century atmosphere. Forty-five exquisitely decorated guest rooms on three floors make a peaceful refuge after an adventurous day of touring. Most of the rooms feature comfortable terraces with lake side views and all have air- conditioning, satellite television, minibar, safe and hair-dryers.
